Excellent example of a rare NON-Russian capture bring-back with all matching numbers outside of the bolt (which was common Wehrmacht practise as the war progressed and replacement parts were issued to units). Manufactured by Byf Mauser in Oberndorf, this lower serial range K98 was originally delivered to the Weimar Republic National Guard in 1933 prior to being re-purposed, proofed and stamped under NSDAP instruction in 1937 resulting in a unique and highly collectable K98 action. Rifle comes with original matching sight hood, muzzle cap, stripper clips and cleaning rod. Military surplus K98 leather sling also included. Overall bluing patina at least 90% intact. Bore in excellent condition. No major bumps or marks on matching timbers presenting in excellent condition. Original iron sights supplied to buyer if no drill picatinny mount (currently installed) is not wanted. No drill picatinny mount and matching bayonet can be sold separately on request.
