Original Winchester 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured in 1895. This rifle has seen some action and proudly shows its age. Plum/brown metalwork throughout. Barrel address (with King’s Improvement Patent) visible to barrel ahead of rear sight. Carbine ladder rear sight and saddle ring intact as is the dust cover which is often missing. Timber shows wear but is solid and original. Notch filed in forearm just ahead of receiver. Clear ‘44 cal’ marking to bottom of brass lifter. Works well. Bore is frosty but shows clear rifling still.
