An interesting find, this once high quality Martini single shot falling block in 577/450 BP sporter was apparently made for somebody of substance........I cannot find any reference to the particular name but it it could be a very interesting piece of British history and possibly exploration on the Dark Continent of Africa as this is where it came from ? The bore shows signs of its age......well over a hundred years old , so expect wear and tear, it is missing some its sight leaves, but does still have its lob or volley sight, nicely and heavily engraved on the action flats with the owners name, very nice piece of timber with silver escutcheon on rear top of stock, quality walnut with flat checkering.
