Please phone as I rarely check emails. A nice example of a circa 1900 Boer war Military Webley pistol with Providence. Back strap has been stamped CMR for the Cape Mounted Rifles of South Africa who were active during the Boer war. Also stamped on the strap appears to be a rack number. This pistol was clearly issued to the military given the number of government ordinance marks and proof marks over the pistol. The handgun through its life has been modified where the chamber has been altered to allow 45 ACP caliibre requiring moon clips ,with the sale comes several moon clips and extraction tool in brand-new unused condition. The pistol has matching numbers throughout except for the cylinder. Very hard these days to find a Webley No IV especially with military Providence. Can be viewed by appointment in Richmond Melbourne CBD. Please phone for any further information. At additional cost an original period leather holster, leather belt and lanyard is available.
