Captain Cook Commemorative rifle. 22 WMR,10 round tube mag, 20 inch barrel with exc. bore & sharp rifling, some dust residue, bright silver finish to action, glossy blued finish to barrel, mag & other small parts, finishes to metalwork present in excellent condition, some trace amounts of storage marks, makers name & New Haven address to barrel, acanthus scroll engraving to action, Captain Cook Botany/ Bay/ 30.4.1770 to side of action, map of Australia Terra Australis to opposite side, Discovery 1 Capt. James Cook to top of receiver, mechanically excellent, standard rear sight & hooded front, walnut stock presents as excellent, sharply defined chequering to wrist & forend, some very minor storage marks, standard Winchester plastic butt plate. Definitely one for the Australian Winchester collector, only 100 made in the 80's for the Australian bicentennial with many being exported to the US by American collectors over the years, this example is a very low manufacture number 12/100, no box.
