A unique / transitional rifle. Rear hinged breach loader for black powder paper cartridges. This particular rifle is the 25 inch barrel version, purchased in South Africa where they were popular with the Boers. dated 1874 and in very good condition for its age with only minor denting in stock and retains some of the original finishes. Bore has pitting but would be usable. Stock screws are still even in original alignment. Ramrod is not original but of similar era. Buyer to pay shipping if external to WA..
