A rarely seen WW2 M.V.S.N (Italian socialist party) fighting knife, issued to the "Black shirts" Benito Mussolini's personal militia from the late 1920's until the early 1940's when Mussolini was deposed and Italy switched sides to join the allies and leave the axis forces. the knife is in good condition with a nice patina to the scabbard and cross guard. The blade is bright and the scabbard retains it angled belt loop. Its original owner has carved the names DUX( referring the Benito Mussolini) and Maria ( I imagine a wife or girlfriend) into the wooden grip, M.V.S.N with roman axe present on scabbard. A very nice piece of Italian and WW2 history, hard to find these days. buyer to pay postage costs.
