Each battery will run the scanner for approx. 4 hours. I have used the unit for hunting alone, on foot at night for ferals and have taken cats, dogs, rabbits, hare and pigs. I've been able to detect animals that I simply would not have noticed otherwise and stalk close for a shot. I have recently upgraded to a larger scanner more suitable for vehicle-based shooting. Unit was purchased in late 2020 for over $2400 (plus additional battery packs and charger). It is in excellent condition and fully functional.
