This is a remington Model 78 Sportsman, made between 1978 and 1981. The model 78 is a remington 700 sold with a cheap beech ADL stock and smooth bolt knob. This rifle has had its stock upgraded to a later model synthetic ADL stock. It has a leupold one piece base and rings and a as new Redfield revolution 2-7x33. This is a retired range rifle, as indicated by the various serial numbers inscribed on the action. Bore has strong rifling but some pitting, still very shootable. Metal work in very good condition, bolt face is unmarked and trigger has been professionally lightened. Price is shipped to Eastern States.
