The Marlin Model 56 Levermatic is the fastest 22LR lever action on the market. It's unique action feeds from detachable magazines with a ultra short lever throw that does not require you to break your grip for exceptionally fast follow up shots. It is the perfect rifle for rabbits and pests or rapid fire 22LR comps. I bought this rifle for taking rabbits and it excels in that role; I am only reluctantly selling it to make space in the safe for a PCP air rifle. This is the rarer steel receiver model from early production and given its age and low serial number, the rifle is in an excellent condition. It has been well maintained, shooting accurately and cycling flawlessly with only the expected minor rust patches and stock dents for a rifle that is well over 60 years old! I've been using it with iron sights, but this particular rifle was drilled and tapped by the previous owner from (I believe) a custom fabricated dovetail mount. I have also designed and 3D printed my own scope mounts custom for this rifle to reduce the height over bore. They work far better than they have any right to! I will include them, but won't be insulted if you don't trust them! I believe it also came to me with a spare firing pin, will try to track that down. Included is a 12 round magazine and a spare 7 round magazine. the mags are hard to find so don't lose them!
