Lovely engraving, gold F-S on swing safety, The floorplate, trigger guard, safety, gripcap have colour case finish, Schmidt and Bender 1.25-4x scope 3 post reticle, in EAW mounts, excellent walnut stock also with tiger stripe, cheekpiece, and forend tip. Amazingly this rifle comes up excellent for express sight use... and scoped use. The maker has worked for some of the big UK names, and every aspect of this rifle is perfection. This rifle was made for Africa, but never went.. so possibly fired only a few rounds. Will suit a BGR member or big game hunter. Takes 3 in mag, 1 in chamber. Weight estimated at 9 1/2 lb bare rifle, and 10.5lb with scope. From my experience the 404 cartridge kicks much less than the 416 Rigby cartridge and kills the same.
