EARLY REMINGTON MOD. 1875 ARMY S.A. REVOLVER: 44 Remington CF cal; 6 shot fluted cylinder; 7 1/2" (191mm) round barrel; g. to vg. bore with some surface oxidation scale, sharp rifling; barrel, cylinder & frame with plum patina & coverage of surface frosting; trace amounts of blued finish to replacement ejector rod housing; no visible address to barrel or marking externally, serial no. 2665 to lhs of frame under grip; mechanically exc., v. light trigger but sear holds solid, cylinder indexing correctly; replacement screws, screw to underside of frame has been regrooved with overrun etching into trigger guard frame; pinched front sight, grooved top strap rear sight; smooth walnut grips present OK, repaired crack running the length of rh grip, lh grip with some minor handling marks & faint RR cartouche to bottom; lanyard ring to butt; overall in vg. wo & f. cond.. Pre 1900.
