Russian Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine chambered in 7.62x54R. Manufactured in 1948 by the Izhevsk Arsenal. S/N: K942 Offered for sale is this nice example of a Russian M44 Carbine. The Izhevsk Company’s Arrow in Triangle stamp is present, confirming manufacture with the Soviet hammer and Sickle Crest present in several places. This M44 has a round low wall receiver with a side mounted cruciform bayonet which has a slight cut out made into the stock to accommodate it. Barrel, trigger guard/floor plate and butt plate have matching numbers with a miss-matched bolt. The overall condition of this collector’s piece is in very good condition. The bore had strong sharp rifling. Compared to other M44’s advertised within Australia this rifle is definitely the pick of the bunch at a more reasonable price. Transfer via Adelaide Gun Shop.
