Berthier Mle.07/15 M48 Turkish Forestry Carbine (TC Orman) This is a French Made berthier carbine, made during WW1. The turks later acquired a quantity of these guns, and altered their stocks and other features, transforming them in 1948 into the "Turkish forestry carbines" These guns were issued to rangers to prevent the poaching of trees from their forests. The top of the receiver is marked "TC ORMAN 1948" Though these guns were re-worked in 1948, the gun itself was manufactured in France decades earlier. This particular example is in decent usable condition. Photos accurately describe it.
