Mauser 1871/84. Manufactured in 1888 at the Spandau Arsenal west of Berlin. The 1871/84 was introduced into service in 1884 but was rapidly superseded. Many rifles produced in 1888 were put into storage and never issued. They remained in storage, in various armouries around the world, for almost a century. This is one of those rifles. It is in excellent condition and appears much as if it left the factory yesterday and not 135 years ago with Very minor storage marks on timber and blued areas . All serial numbers are matching. Makers marks are all clear and crisp. Many photos available. Postage, not to WA, and transfer fees by negotiation. Tubular magazine of 8 rounds. Calibre 43 Mauser or 11.14x60mmR.
