Comment: Henry 45-70 blued 18.5” barrel & tube, and checkered American walnut pistol grip stock. Low gloss finish on all surfaces. Bought new in 2017, it is the model with the upgraded mag tube hanger and semi-buckhorn sight (brass front bead). Capacity is 4 in the tube plus one in the chamber, making it a great sambar stopper. Action is slick and follow-ups are fast. Uncle Mike’s hammer extension added to make de-cocking easier with a scope fitted. Safe to carry with hammer down (the transfer bar safety means rifle cannot fire unless trigger is pulled), and very quiet to thumb back the hammer for a shot. Tube loading makes for fast, easy, and safe unloading, rather than racking rounds through the action. This was my favourite deer gun until I had my 375 BLR built, and now I’ve got a 404 Jeffery in the works, so I must make room in the safe and help finance the build. Some marks on the forend and butt from a fall, shown in pics. Purely cosmetic, the rifle hasn’t shifted its zero at all, ever. Barrel in VGC. Feeds and shoots well. Included in sale is a set of Lee dies incl Factory Crimp Die in Hornady die case. Includes 2 shell holders, a spare de-capping rod, 6 x snap caps, and user guides.
