Here is a lovely Savage No.4 converted to a L42 style and to 223 REM calibre, done by Thomas Smith of T-bone Shipwrighting. The barrel itself is a Lothar Walther Barrel, 224 Cal, 1:7” Twist, #3100-26 profile and had 200 rounds fired, very accurate rifle and little recoil. Comes with two 10 shot magazines that are very reliable, so you don’t have to fumble around in rapids and snaps. Trigger is a two stage 4.5lb weight. Fitted with a Central No4 rear sight and Gehmann rear sight adjustable iris g510. The front sight is a Parker Hale front sight tunnel and comes with spare front sights. Timber cheek piece included. Handstop rail is fitted into the underside of the fore end and the handstop is a AHG Integral Handstop #1202/6229. More photos on request. Shipping included in the price.
