Lee Speed Patent 19146/90 carbine manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms Company (B.S.A. Co.). Carbine maybe known as either the ‘Volunteer Pattern Cavalry Carbine’ or “No. 3 Trade Pattern Carbine’ with reference to its 6 shot ‘fish belly’ magazine. This firearm is fitted with a 21” barrel, magazine cut off, turned down bolt, dust cover, and standard front sights with a target rear sight that has adjustable windage and elevation. Protecting the rear sight is a McCalley’s sight protector. A standard rear sight maybe fitted if desired, but no additional rear sight comes with this example.
