SMLE trainer in .22 calibre. This rifle was assembled by the John Jovino Company (JJCo) in the USA sometime in the 80’s from surplus parts purchased from the Lithgow factory. It’s not really a No2MkIV because it wasn’t built at Lithgow, but all the components are genuine Lithgow. There are no stamps on the butt, and no date on the barrel. 1945 dated receiver. The wood on the left hand side has been relieved for a Central target sight plate. It has the correct hollow magazine and .22 extractor. It’s a remarkably accurate rifle, fun to shoot, and far cheaper to run than a .303. Postage is $50 to eastern states. It will be correctly disassembled for postage (yes I know, take the foreend off first) to meet the Aust Post length limit. Email contact is preferred, more pics available.
