It has an excellent shiny bore and works beautifully. It cocks on closing and after it’s fired the firing pin then becomes an ejector for the extractor claw which is very clever. The gun also has safety lever on the left side that works perfectly. Metal parts finish is still very good, but the butt plate has had some surface rust at some stage that’s been cleaned up. It’s an unusual design compared to most other single shots from the time with excellent quality of workmanship. These are often referred to as training rifles due to their similar shape to the Swedish Mauser stock but I don’t know of any official documented history to back that up. Either way it’s a lovely rifle for the collection or to teach the young ones to shoot so contact us today to make it yours. More pics available on request so txt or email us for more info and please include your location so we can confirm postage is included.
