F.N. Mauser M.1953, 30-06. All components matching, externally and internally in good condition, the barrel has strong and shiny rifling and a good lead, muzzle crown is not dinged or damaged. Rate the barrel as 4 or 5/10 condition. The bolt face is bright, not primer rings or pitting, there is some minor ‘salt and pepper’ surface pitting on the bolt, bolt knob and unblued surfaces. Noted a small spot of light pitting (thumb print size) on the barrel just to the rear of the foresight. The rear lip of the magazine follower has been altered to a cycle the bolt with an empty magazine. The woodwork is in good condition with no significant blemishes, some very minor scuffing, dings and dents from storage and service usage. All furniture, fittings and parts are serial matched. Overall, this rifle presents in good average used service rifle condition.
