Comment: US Springfield Armoury Model 1903 Mk 1 (Pederson device) receiver, owners opinion was that this was a WW2 re-issue of an old receiver, re-fitted with stamped parts. An older Springfield (11-22) replacement barrel was fitted for shooting, this barrel is quite good, in shootable 4 or 5/10 condition, reasonably sharp and shiny rifling, The original SA Springfield (6-42) barrel looks to be quite good, however it has a patch of pitting with dark grooves around the mid barrel area, condition 2/10. Stock appears to have been sanded down, no arsenal markings visible, no dings or damage to wood work. $1,250.00 includes freight & insurance.
