*OPEN TO OFFERS* Hungarian licensed copy of the Mosin Nagant 91/30 made by Fémáru Fegyver és Gépgyár (FEG) in Budapest. Made for the Hungarian People's Army after the Second World War, this rifle has the Communist Rákosi Crest of the Hungarian People's Republic on its receiver, its date of manufacture (1951), and Hungary's Warsaw Pact factory designation ('02'). Official Hungarian designation was 'Hadipuska 48.M', or 'Infantry Rifle 48.M' Hungary only manufactured these rifles for four years between 1950 and 1953, and these were believed to have only seen combat in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the Vietnam War. This rifle is all matching with all parts marked with the correct serial number and/or Hungary's aforementioned Warsaw Pact factory code, and has an excellent bore. It also has proof marks from the Ulm Proof House of souther Germany indicating it was sold from Hungarian military storage into the European commercial market, and then likely exported from Germany to Australia. These are widely considered to be one of the best-quality Mosin Nagant rifles ever manufactured, having been made from quality materials in peace time, but Hungary's preference for shorter carbines, the number of rifles given as military aid to Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and their limited production run makes them one of the rarest around. Sling included. Additional photos and more information available if needed.
