This is a lovely example of a Turkish Mauser that has been through the gunsmith and had a professionally done boil out and service to preserve the original finish and protect the rifle for many more years to come. It has a very good bore and shoots beautifully. This model is often referred to as the model 38 Turkish Mauser. The Ankara logo on the reciever is nice and clear and the date appears to read 1940 but the zero is hard to make out. Other markings are all clear. If your looking to add a Turkish Mauser to the collection then this is a good example and would make an excellent service rifle shooter.
