Manufactured in 1900 this Carl Gustafs was a longer m96 which was then factory refited to m38 specifications to stay in service on or just after 1938. This involved shortening the original barrel and new rear sight fitted for the newer military cartridge. This rifle is matching numbers and has a very nice 8/10 bore that shoots beautifully. Perfect for the collector or the service rifle shooter. Few dents and marks as expected for age with some older surface rust marks but all cleaned and preserved.
