Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I manufactured in June, 1948 by Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerley in Liverpool, England. Chambered in 303. Had planned to create a replica No.4 Mk I (T) sniper rifle and as such fitted it with a genuine scope mount and reproduction cheek piece, and is only missing an authentic scope to complete it. The rifle does come with the currently fitted Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5x32. The No.4 Mk I was the definitive Second World War Lee-Enfield rifle, and was officially adopted by the United Kingdom in 1941. It was used by Commonwealth nations including Canada and New Zealand during the war, and saw extensive use even after in the hands of the French, the Dutch, and Britain's former colonies (i.e. Kenya, Rhodesia, Malawi, etc.). 1948 was the last year of production for the No. 4 Mk I model of rifles, before being replaced by the No. 4 Mk 2 and then by a variety of automatic rifles.
