Beautiful old WH Tisdall 16G exposed hammer, extractor, game gun. Choked full and three quarter I believe. Damascus barrels proofed for black powder. Extensive engraving to metalwork and stunningly figured walnut stock. Engraved and skeletonised butt plate. Locks up tight and works as it should. Shield plate on underside of buttstock reads ‘ L.G. To B.C. 1880’ Bores have some frosty patches but pretty good for a 140 plus year old BP gun. Barrels and side plate marked WH Tisdall with the address ‘47 Whittall St. Birmingham’ to the rib as well. Nice Damascus pattern to the tubes. Tiny dent on LH tube towards muzzle. Old (quality) repair to the wrist but very difficult to see. Comes with brand new box of Magtech 16 gauge all brass shells.
