Rare Remington 1917 M91 Russian Contract Mosin Nagant. This rifle is in excellent condition, matching and probably the best one I have seen in Australia. It has strong bluing (95+%), nicely figured stock, strong Remington roll markings, inspector markings, Tsar crests, great bore and smooth bolt. No Finish markings on the metal however a Finish rack marking is present on the RHS of the stock and range markings added to the sight on RHS. Comes with original sling. This Mosin has a wealth of history and has served with multiple nations. American made Mosin's are some of the best quality produced and this one is no exception. Its serial number indicates that it is part of the batches of rifles that were actually delivered to Russia before the 1917 revolution and cancelation of the contract. It was then either sold to or captured by Finland and made its way to Australia at some point (No import markings). It has certainly been there and done that. Regrettable sale and offers are welcome.
