Highly collectible Remington model 700 from the custom shop. Serial number indicates that the rifle was manufactured in 1970 or 1971. The previous owner brought the rifle with him when he relocated from the US to Australia. Has fired less than 50 rounds. Long 27.5 inch barrel which is deep gloss blued. Checkering is an unusual design, fine cut and beautifully executed. Maple stocks may not be to everyone’s taste but you can’t deny how impressively unusual this rifle is. Built in a bygone era when Remington was renowned for making outstanding rifles. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything else about the history of this rifle. I can however confirm that I have bore sighted this rifle and the barrel, bore and rifling is in perfect condition.
