Comment: Quite an unusual Belgian hammer shotgun. 12G with 30” fine twist barrels. Barrels have been re-browned, now with excellent pattern definition, some mottled staining in areas. 2 1/2" chambers, choked approx 1/2 & full. Bores are in unusually good condition for its age, no pitting, bulges or scoring but some superficial frosting. Action has been professionally retightened and locks up nicely, matching hammers, rebounding locks with strong springs. Action with coverage of scroll & game scene engraving, hunting hounds to sides of action & trigger guard, deer to underside of action. Liege proofs & non pour balle stamped to breech, fine laminated steel inlaid in platinum to top rib. Woodwork is in very good condition, the fine chequering to the forend & bag style grip has been recut and the original gutta percha buttplate is in very good condition. 14” LOP & 7lb 6oz weight. Overall the gun is in excellent working order, shoots great and was used just recently in the 2022 Victorian duck season. Making room for new purchases and this is just not getting used enough.
