Comment: Holloway & Naughton box lock shotgun retailed by J.T. Lake of Adelaide. 12G with 30” steel barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, choked approx. 1/2 & 1/2. Nitro proofed for 1 1/4oz. Bores are in very good condition, bright and free from any ripples, bulges, pitting or dents etc. Action locks up tight & both triggers are crisp. Rib extension with 3rd bite. Top of right barrel engraved J.T. LAKE ADELAIDE, top of swamped rip engraved "Holloway & Naughton Ltd Makers. Birmingham" and top of the left barrel engraved "Sole agent for S.Australia". 60%+ coverage of scroll engraving to action, Holloway & Naughton engraved to both sides of action. Some light blueing wear to barrels but present well as is. Woodwork is in near excellent condition overall, only some very, very minor handling marks. Chequering to bag grip is excellent. 14 7/8 LOP including 1” rubber recoil pad and weighs 6lb 14oz. Overall the gun is in excellent working and has been perfect for vintage clay target events.
