Steyr 1895 Mannlicher in 6.5x53R calibre. On the barrel it is marked "Shot and Sighted by Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London." This is a nice, classic rifle in good condition. Blueing is good, stock has some dings and marks but only what you would expect from a rifle of this age that has been used for hunting. The bore is reasonable although a little dark with the rifling slightly rounded off but I would rate it as a 6 out of 10 and it should still shoot well. Rifle is fitted with a lovely, striker-mounted aperture sight with two sized apertures; a small aperture that folds in and out of the larger one. Rifle includes three (3) clips for shooting. Will also throw in a new set of Redding 6.5x54MS dies and .303 cases - 6.5x53R cases can be formed with this combination (the 6.5x53R is simply the rimmed version of the 6.5x54MS). This is a very reluctant sale. $3,200.
