Dated 1896, this Lee Enfield is in remarkable condition and is a rare example that will suit either collection or shooting. The bore is shiny, the bluing good and the timber very nice with only small marks on it, except for where a Central sight was fitted. It has its magazine cutoff. Everything works perfectly, the action is tight and even the firing pin spring feels strong enough to be noticeably better than most SMLEs. It has plenty of Australian history, including Lithgow factory maps from work done there. Finding a decent No 1 is unusual; finding one like this is very special indeed! More pics on our website. Don't miss out.
