WW2 Imperial Japanese Army NCO's Type 45 sword. Produced at the end of the war with a machine made blade , wooden handle and iron fittings the sword is in great condition. The blade and scabbard have matching serial numbers which read cutting edge up on the blade indicating it was produced at the Nagoya Arsenal. Scabbard retaining latch is present and functional, scabbard itself has a nice patina with traces of the original tan paint present. the blade is in great shape with only one small nick and some darkening, no rust or pitting. Also has correct leather sword knot which are rare to see. Very nice example of a late war Japanese sword, buyer to cover shipping costs.
