German Maxim MG08 Z.F.12 scope made by Emil Busch A-G Rathenow. What makes this scope special is that it’s a WW2 2/13 Battalion digger war trophy from the North Africa campaign of April 1941 at Er. Regima. This battle is widely documented as the first direct combat between German and Australian forces of WW2. A very rare sight to begin with, but also priceless war trophy of very significant interaction of WW2 for Australian forces. The side wheel engraving reads: “To the “OLD COW”.
