A rare chance to own a genuine best gun at a relatively affordable price. This S.A.L Franchi is a genuine 9 pin side lock shotgun, circa 1935. It appears to be a very early version of a gun later known as the 'Condor'. It features extensive scroll engraving to all parts of the receiver. Barrels are 27.5" long with 18.6mm bores, choked 1/2 and full. Barrels weigh 1280gms. It has 2.75" chambers and is nitro proofed for modern ammunition. This is an ejector game gun that features an articulated front trigger and straight hand stock. It is very lively in the hands, weighing only 2.850kg or 6lb 4oz. Would make an excellent upland game gun. LOP is 355mm or right on 14 inches. Has a modern Decelerator Sporting recoil pad fitted and a red bead. These appear to be the only two modifications made to this otherwise completely original gun. Wood has very decent figure and depth of colour. The only real blemishes with this gun are a few minor handling marks to the timber. Otherwise, this 87 years old gun is in excellent condition. For its age, this is a ripper of a game gun. Further detailed images can be provided to genuine buyers. Gun comes with a leather soft travel case. Price is delivered to your nominated firearms dealer.
