This 1917 Lithgow made rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt and nosecap. The barrel is Lithgow made and dated 9/51 , the bore is excellent and fitted with a brass barrel band made at the wartime Orange annex to the Lithgow factory. Markings on the butt show that timberwork was replaced in 1942 and the rifle was overhauled in 1946. This rifle has clearly been in Australian use through both world wars and remains in great condition. A bargain at this price for either a shooter or collector.
