Sako L46, Serial No. 5862, .22 K-Hornet, Left Wing Safety, Walnut stock, in very good to excellent condition. Copy of Sako factory records included (was inspected 8.2.1951 and sent to Anthony Horden & Sons in Sydney as part of a 25-gun shipment. Anthony Horden’s was once the largest department store in the world with 52 Acres of retail space). It was rebarrelled many years ago and is chambered in .22 K-Hornet; barrel has been bedded. Bore is excellent, very little wear evident with a borescope. External blueing of barrel and action, bolt etc. is excellent. I’ve been using Hornady factory loads, 35gn V-Max, and it shoots nice small groups. 45gn factory loads shoot nicely too, but it loves the V-Max’s. Stock was refinished about 10 years ago by a master stock maker and the checkering carefully recut; he did a great job and it looks terrific. Slim Pachmayr butt pad fitted. Trigger was tweaked by a gunsmith and is very light (12oz), crisp and reliable (no slam fires). Comes with 1 spare magazine, and a bag of once fired brass. Price is for the bare gun.
