Seems to be a genuine 1943 mauser low turret ww2 german sniper. But it is a frankenstein rebuild. The receiver, magazine, trigger guard,trigger and rear scope mounts are all matching and are the original sniper parts of the rifle. They also seem to have the correct markings of the mauser low turret by having the small eagle over a 135 waffenamt on the left side of the receiver next to the serial number. There is also th 135 on the right side of the receiver faded, one on the rear scope mount and one on the front of the trigger guard. The frankenstein rebuild parts of the rifle is pretty much everything else such as the barrel, stock and bolt. Which are real k98k rifle parts but not matching to the rifle serial number. The scope i think is a period scope similar to those used but not an actual sniper scope. It has blurring on the outside when viewed through but the centre around the reticle is clear. It also has the classic 3 post german reticle which is the reticle used in ww2. The scope rings also seem to be replicas of low turret rings. Also as said before the rear scope mount seems to be original but the front scope base is a replica for a high turret sniper. So when the scope is mounted the front scope ring is loose and moves up and down about 2 millimetres. The barrel on the rifle is also very good at 9/10. Just also as a warning I have not fired this rifle at all since i bought it but it does seem to function properly. Also the only reason putting the rifle as fair is because of the above mentioned front scope mount being loose other then that the rifle is in good condition.
