This M1938 Carcano Short Rifle manufactured in 1940 is in great condition and is an excellent shooter. The rifling is crisp with no pitting whatsoever. The wood is in good condition with a few dings here and there but nothing that stands out. The rifle comes with 3 ORIGINAL brass clips & original box, as well as an original two piece cleaning rod set in the buttstock. The sling however is a reproduction. The rifle also comes with an original folding bayonet which is very hard to find and fairly expensive if found. The bayonet is in good condition with a few scuff marks however everything works as in should - smoothly. The only problem I've encountered with this rifle is that it seems to have trouble ejecting clips, I haven't figured out what's causing it but maybe you might be able to. The rifle has been disassembled and cleaned recently, so there should be very little if no dirt, grim or cosmoline. The rear buttstock trap door is stiff but can still be opened, each screw is in excellent condition with no damaged screw heads. For this price this is a rifle ideal for any shooter interested in milsurps or a general collector. Please message me on my number for more pictures.
