Classic rifle. 1963 make, Remington 700. Second year production 700. The quality that made Remington famous.
Factory stock, in original factory chambering for the 6mm Remington (a.k.a 244 Remington).
Exceptional condition for a 63 year old rifle. Wood is near perfect - sharp stippling. Some very minor marring present on wood, needs to be pointed out to be seen. Bluing perfect. Rifling perfect.

Comes with original mounted/period correct scope, made in USA Weaver KT-10.

6mm Remington Dies and components can be readily sourced but do not come with the rifle. Cartridge was released a couple months before the 243 Winchester, edges it out in performance however primarily a reloaders prospect. A 7x57 necked down to 6mm/.24cal.
