A genuine piece of WWII-era Soviet firearms history.

The Tokarev TT-33 was developed by Soviet designer Fedor Tokarev and became one of the principal military sidearms of the Soviet Union. Originally developed during the early 1930s, the simplified TT-33 went on to see extensive service with the Soviet military throughout the Second World War.

This particular pistol is especially interesting as its markings date it to 1944, placing its manufacture right in the middle of WWII. The arsenal and date markings are consistent with Izhevsk production, where TT-33 manufacture had been established after production was shifted away from Tula during the war.

Chambered in the distinctive 7.62x25mm Tokarev, the TT-33 is an all-steel, single-action semi-automatic pistol with an 8-round magazine.

This example certainly hasn't spent the last 80-plus years sitting untouched in a box. It displays plenty of honest service wear, finish loss and age-related marks, all of which suit the history of a wartime military pistol. The grips also show considerable age and wear.

For the military firearms collector, this is a very interesting opportunity to own an original 1944-dated Soviet TT-33 with the character you'd expect from a wartime-produced pistol.
