Comment: Matched Butt/Forends Gun Stock Blanks. Australian grown walnut cut Sept 2011, air dried. 

This blank has significant cluster burl and birdseye figure that is comparatively tight and which will require minimal plugging of cores, compared to the norm. Unlike many burl blanks, the burl in this blank does not affect the grain flow and strength of the grip and head area. Blank also has nice background fiddleback highlights. Comes with two matching forend blanks. Dimensions are generous in length width and depth. I cannot imagine any sane two piece stock design it won't cut. Very rare to see burl in an Oz grown walnut tree, and it is incredibly rare to see an Oz-grown burl blank. This is a complex blank that does not photograph well. It will make into a fancy stock, far fancier than the photos or price indicate. Priced according to photos rather than it's true potential.

Density and grain flow suits shotguns in particular, or a Ruger No1V, etc.
