Comment: Up for sale is a 1916 BSA Co. ShtLE in very good condition for a 110-year-old rifle. It's a fantastic, highly original piece with all matching, original 1916 serial numbers across the stock, receiver, bolt, and nosecap. The timber stock itself is marked showing it was FTR'd at Lithgow in both 1926 and 1944. Despite being FTR'd twice, it remarkably retained all of those original 1916 parts, with the sole exceptions being the rear sight and the barrel—which is a 1944 Lithgow replacement in excellent condition. The wood has a few minor handling dings as you'd expect given its age, but overall it's a remarkably clean piece of history.
