RARE Swiss ZFK55 Sniper Rifle

The Swiss ZfK55 or formally known as the Zielfernrohr Karabiner 1955 (Scoped Carbine) was the Swiss service sniper rifle and designated marksman rifle (DMR).

These rifles were made for the Swiss Army by Waffenfabrik Bern from 1957 till 1959, making them incredibly rare, as only around 4150 service rifles were made, this one being No.3724 manufactured in 1958 within the serial No. range 1171-4150.

The ZfK55 has an incredibly unique-looking muzzle device that was designed to mitigate recoil and aid in suppressing flash signature

Features a robust quick-detach (QD) return-to-zero 3.5x telescopic sight serialized to the individual rifle, non-matching bayonet with leather frog, original sling, aftermarket charger clips and gun bag.

If you are a reloader I have dies and brass that can be negotiated separately.

This ZFK is in excellent condition with exception to minor ware marks that are to be expected from a 68-year-old firearm, but don’t let its age fool you – this precision Swiss tack driver is still as accurate as the day it was made. All serial numbers are matching on this rifle including the magazine, scope canister and scope made by Kern.

I purchased this rifle for $13,000 in December last year and had it to the range once just before the NSW government call for straight pull actions to be changed to a Category C firearm, until there was more clarity, I gave this firearm to my firearms dealer for safe storage where it still sits today.

T-bone Shipwrighting are renown gunsmiths that specialise in the service and repair of historical military firearms and are happy to provide an independent review of this firearm to a serious buyer.

This rifle is being sold significantly under what I paid for it 8 months ago on the basis that in Feb 2027 the NSW government will pay me a maximum of $10,000 before sending this unique rare firearm to the crusher; and I would much rather accept $10K from an enthusiast that will see this rifle at a range or collection well into the future – No offers.
