Chiappa 1887 Lever Action Shotgun – 12 Gauge – Matte Chrome

A distinctive example of Chiappa’s modern interpretation of the historic Model 1887 lever-action shotgun, presented in the less commonly encountered matte chrome finish with traditional timber furniture.

The Model 1887 stands apart from most modern shotguns due to its unmistakable lever-action mechanism and classic late-19th-century styling. Chiappa’s reproduction preserves the character and mechanical appearance of the original design while incorporating modern manufacturing standards.

This particular example is finished in matte chrome, giving the firearm a very different appearance from the more commonly seen blued and colour-case-hardened versions. The subdued silver finish contrasts particularly well with the timber stock and fore-end and gives the firearm a distinctive presentation without being overly reflective.

The shotgun has been kept in excellent condition, with the metalwork, timber and overall presentation showing very little evidence of use or wear. Its combination of traditional timber, exposed lever-action mechanism and matte chrome finish makes it an unusual example of the Chiappa 1887 platform.
