Here we have an excellent example of a scarce original and fully matching No. 1 Mk. III Enfield grenade launcher rifle.
The rifle was manufactured in Ishapore in 1956 by Royal Firearms Ishapore (RFI) factory and presents in an overall excellent condition. The action is smooth, tight and functions flawlessly and as intended. Bolt face is clean and shiny and shows little sign of use, moving on to the barrel, the barrel is in extremely good condition has no rust or pitting and is mirror/new like upon inspection. The rifle is fully matching with the exception of the magazine however it is original to this rifle.
The wood is in very good condition and appears to be matching as well; there are no cracks and few scratches or bruises. This is a very well done repair to the tow however this would be an expected repair and would even add to its originality as this would be one of the main load bearing points given the advised way these were used in.
One thing to also note is, the bolt going through the middle section of the stock is original and standard to most Mk III launchers as it acts as a second more robust recoil lug.
All in all this is a very nice and interesting piece of history that you don’t see on the market every day. This would make an excellent service comp/range rifle as it’s slightly heavier than standard Mk III’s or a very nice rifle for the collection!

Original grenade launcher blanks are available as well (pick up only)
