Here is a very nice example of a original 1942 dated Lithgow 303

The rifle presents in very good condition; the barrel has no rust or pitting and has little wear which is evident in the strong rifling. The action is very smooth and requires little effort to operate. There is no pitting or rust anywhere on the rifle and metal work is extremely clean and free from any dirt or grime. The wood work is also in very good condition and has no cracks or splits. It is hard to fault this fine piece, however it must be noted that, bolt unfortunately do not match and the bridge has been neatly tapped for a mount but could be easily fixed. Because of this, the rifle has been priced accordingly.

This would make an excellent addition to your military rifle collection (advanced or just starting out) or just something interesting for the range!
