Comment: Marlin 1895 lever action rifle in 45/70. Purchased by me as a bit of a basket case - someone had tried to build a Marlin Dark style copy but painted it green… I have since had the whole rifle cerekoted, replaced the painted wooden stock with a Ramline plastic butt and forearm and replaced the original loading gate with a Ranger Point Precision one. I have also had the barrel shortened and threaded 5/8x24. The XS Systems Lever Scout style scope mount has also been cerekoted. I removed the pain’t from the brats front sight bead and sorted out a Williams Peep sight (correct model for this model) for the already drilled mounting holes. If you are not a fan of the synthetic stocks I can change over to a new hardwood set that I have sore from my other lever. The action has been smoothed over as per all the YouTube videos. Barrel length is a 16”. The front hand guard needs a bit of finishing with filler or fibreglass gel as it’s from a barrel band model but it does lock into the endcap. I’d planned to add an MLok rail but kinda fell in love with the slim and handy shape of the hand guards. Selling as have quite a few projects on the go and want to build up a bolt action scout rifle.
