Extremely rare S.A.F. Lithgow Target Rifle - single shot, straight-pull, bolt-action target rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester).

Manufactured by the Small Arms Factory (SAF) in Lithgow, NSW

Produced only between approx. 1960–1970 Total production: just 143 rifles This is #38 of 143, manufactured in 1969

Excellent overall condition - sharp profiles, strong blue/black finish, excellent bore

Fitted with sights as pictured and spares including vintage pamphlet/instructions

This is a genuine Australian-made competition/target rifle based on the L1A1 receiver platform but purpose-built as a single-shot. Heavy 21" target barrel, ideal for collectors of Lithgow/SAF firearms or serious long-range target shooting.
